Da Da & Projects

Da. Da & Projects
We are a family moved by our love of our country. Over the years Da. Da & Projects has been slow but steady in doing our best to engage the public and the government to take into account the importance of respecting Art and the environment.
We have come together specifically to support Dean Arlin with his initiatives over the years.
Da. Da is a
VERB

The children of Aripo take control of their PLAY SPACE with the help of us DA. DA & Projects members.

What a pleasure it was to take the winding roads of Aripo to witness the TREE HOUSE installation of Dean Arlen and Sean Leonard. The Installation Artist and Architect have worked tireless for over a decade to finally see this project implemented.

At our last AGM I surprised the members with a side project - taking Dean’s drawings and making them into toys. We are intending on having an online and in situ shop.

For our end of year mixer I always enjoy trying something a bit different from the year before. This time I decided to create 130 scratch tickets, along with a zine.

Da.Da & Projects was asked to do a summer camp at Rosary Boys Primary School. We had a large class of children from the age of five to sixteen. They did a number of activities including writing their own stories, creating their own zines.

Da. Da & Projects set out on an audacious plan to create a symposium and exhibition at the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago. The vision took over a year to plan. Having come out of the Covid pandemic, it took a endless letter writing for funding and other support. Thank you Professor Rhoda Reddock for your tenacity.
Dr Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung graced us with much thought provoking content on both architecture and design.
I was pressed into service to do the exhibition along with advertising such as the poster below.

In the July/ August holidays Da. Da & Projects worked with children from Mt. Dor to create a mural with a difference along the Eastern Main Road.
